Draggin Roo Hoodie Review

The Draggin Jeans Company has been manufacturing motorcycle clothing since 1997 and claims to be the only ‘casual’ motorcycle brand in the world to have ever passed the CE tests for abrasion, burst and tear resistance. Having established a reputation for the quality of its riding jeans, Draggin has since expanded its product range.

The armoured Draggin Roo Hoodie has been designed for riders looking to maintain that urban-street look for those days when a regular riding jacket feels a little too much, especially on a warm summer day. The Roo may have that casual look – but that doesn’t mean safety has been compromised; it’s lined in key areas with Roomoto™ - Draggin’s own abrasion-resistant fabric – which is manufactured using a mixture of Dyneema® and DuPont™ Kevlar® materials. (Draggin’ is the world’s first preferred licensee for motorcycle garments constructed with DuPont Kevlar fibre, so the wearer knows they are getting genuine Kevlar protection). The Roo Hoody also features Draggin’s Dffuse CE-approved protective armour at the elbow, shoulder and back, to help guard against impact. All of this can be removed, so that the garment can be machine washed.

The Roo has a zip with an easy-touse puller, making it quick and easy to fasten-up. It comes with an adjustable and removable hood (so that it doesn’t flap about when you are riding). One thing I particularly like about it are the ‘thumb-holes’ in the cuffs; this not only helps them to fit snugly under your riding gloves, but it also helps prevent the sleeves from‘riding up’your arms, which sometimes happens under certain riding conditions. There’s also a toggle-adjustable waistband to aid correct, comfortable fitting.

For convenience purposes, a front hand pocket is fitted, which also aids that casual, cool look; and if you want somewhere to keep your valuables safe, there’s a nice deep internal pocket.

The Roo Hoody is a unisex garment which is available in a range of sizes from S to XXL. Currently it’s available in black only.
