First Impression: New Sinnis RS125

Sinnis Motorcycles has just launched a new 125cc streetbike, the new Sinnis RS125, arriving in showrooms in time for the late riding season 2016. At first glance there’s immediately something familiar about this bike.

If you squint a bit and ignore the Sinnis decals and Junak engine casing logo, the bike doesn’t look entirely unlike the popular Yamaha YBR. And with the new Sinnis RS125 being a whopping £1000 cheaper than the YBR, this could be a good seller for Sinnis. One particularly nice design feature is the placement of the front indicators. They have been cleverly integrated into the shoulder fairings, adding to the sleek style.

According Sinnis, the new RS125 has serious road presence, and features a digital dash with fuel gauge, LED lighting, a 13.5-litre fuel tank and serious reliability.

The air-cooled 124cc single-cylinder engine creates a maximum power figure of 10.8 BHP, which is transferred to the rear wheel through a manual 5-speed gearbox and chain final drive. The recommended retail price is £1595 + OTR costs, with no MOT to worry about for three years, and a two-year parts warranty included.

With a claimed 100mpg, a full tank will take you roughly 280 miles. That’s all the way from London to Blackpool (with some to spare), and you get to look cool while you are getting there. The new Sinnis RS125 is available now at over 120 Sinnis dealers nationwide.
