2017 Honda CBF190X 'Fight Hawk' Unveiled !

Japanese manufacturer Honda has unveiled a new small - entry level adventure bike at the China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition in Chongqing. The model is called Honda CBF190X, and set to join CB190R and CBF190R in the company’s sub 200cc lineup.

The 2017 Honda CBF190X is exclusive for Chinese markets as on date, and it's unclear whether this model will be sold in UK or any other markets outside China. There are two other variants with the same engine spec - the CB190R and CBF190R - both are China-only models. The new entry level adventure is aim towards buyers in the mass market segment, it is also called the ‘Fighter Hawk’ and borrows inspiration from larger capacity sports tourers.

Styled as a dual purpose sports tourer, the 2017 Honda CBF190X gets an extended front cowl, LED headlights, upside down fork and grab handles while it sits on alloy wheels. Weight has been considerably reduced on the CBF190X which is now 8 kgs lighter, at a total of 148 kgs, as compared to its CBF190R counterpart.

Powering the motorcycle is an 184 cc SOHC air-cooled single cylinder engine, which is capable of producing 15 bhp @ 11,000 RPM and 14.9 Nm of peak torque @ 7,000 RPM. Power is transferred via a five-speed gearbox, with single petal discs front and rear take care of stopping duties. But unfortunately, more powerful and promising BMW G310 GS and Suzuki GS250 V-Strom are very ready to hit the markets.
